From 13 to 17 April 2015, Representatives of Institute for Intellectual Property Of Bosnia And Herzegovina visited EPO Vienna Branch and Austrian Patent Office within the organized Study tour.

The event was opened by Mr. Richard Flammer – Principal Director Patent Information – European Patent Academy.

Participants of the study tour gained up-to-date information and news on the latest developments of patent information products offered by European Patent Organisation. Namely, Global Patent Index, Asian search services, European Publication server and European Patent Register, PATSAT, user support services, patent information promotion and marketing services, online trainings and webinars etc.

Study tour is implemented as part of capacity building operations of project “Capacity building of the Institute for Intellectual Property through the establishment of information-educational centers of the Institute”.

Study tours concept and program have been built upon the two objectives:

• Successful use of patent information and related tools.
• Improving functionality and sustainability of Information-Educational Centres.
