Representatives of Institute for Intellectual Property Of Bosnia And Herzegovina at the PATLIB Conference participated in 2015 PATLIB Event implemented in Munich, EPO Headquarters at 21-22 April 2015.

The PATLIB conference is an annual event which was established to provide unique training opportunities and a forum for the staff of regional patent information centres to communicate with one another and to work together on issues of common interest.

Participants were hosted by Richard Flammer, Principal Director Patent Information and European Patent Academy, European Patent Office and welcomed by Benoît Battistelli, President of the European Patent Office.

In even-numbered years (2012, 2014, etc), the conference is a networking event, focussing on projects run in various PATLIB centres, and it takes place in a different member state each time, always in co-operation with the national patent office of the host country. In odd-numbered years (2011, 2013, etc), the conferences is a training event being held at one of the EPO sites.

Some of the topics at the conference were: “In-house vs. outsourcing – the view point of a user concerning IP service providers“, „Searching in non-patent literature“, „Basics of patent information“, „Legal status databases for patents, trade marks and designs“, „How to bring university inventions to the market“…
