ECG supports the 11th Belgrade Dance Festival

ECG has agreed to support the Belgrade Dance Festival, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. An agreement was signed between Mr. Danijel Pantic, Managing Director of the European Consulting Group, and Ms. Aja Jung, President of the Belgrade Dance Festival. Through the agreement, ECG becomes the first Serbian ‘Friend of the Festival’ which officially opens on March 29th and lasts until April 14th 2014, comprising of around 15 dance performances.

The festival will take place at a number of Belgrade theaters, with representatives from supporting companies, the Diplomatic Core, prominent local and foreign guests and friends of the Festival. The Festival also serves an educational and knowledge-sharing purpose, through the organization of activities which run in parallel to the performances taking place throughout the programme. These activities include the following: exhibition of photographs, presentations and open classes for ballet schools, master-classes for professional dancers, thematic discussions and film program, and an open ballet studio for children.

The aim of the festival is to popularize the artistic dance, educate and train young and professional ballet dancers, popularization of the use of non-verbal communication to overcome differences, regional exchange of knowledge, intercultural cooperation, artistic collaboration, collaboration of cultural institutions, creating new audiences through the introduction of the choreographic process, presentation of new dance and artistic forms and entry into European cultural programs and agendas.

The festival was founded in 2003 as the initiative of the International Dance Council CID UNESCO from Paris, and the art director is the famous Serbian choreographer, Ms. Aja Jung. For more information on the Belgrade Dance Festival, please view: www.belgradedancefestival.com
