Project description: The overall objective is to protect human, animal and plant health as well as to improve the competitiveness of Macedonian agro-food products on the European and world markets.

The specific purpose of this contract is to strengthen the existing systems of competent institutions and increase the public awareness in order to improve the animal health, public health and plant health status in the country.

Position: Key expert 2: Senior expert in phytosanitary policy (min. 200 working days)

The Senior Expert on phytosanitary policy will be responsible for preparation and implementation of the activities related to phytosanitary issues of the project.

Qualification and skills

• A University Degree in agriculture sciences, (a Master degree would be considered as an advantage) or an equivalent of 5 years’ experience above the required general professional experience;

General professional experience

• Minimum of 10 years of general professional experience in the field of phytosanitary policy;

Specific professional experience

• Working experience in minimum 2 projects related to sustainable use and marketing of PPP in accordance to the EU policies and legislation;
