Project description: The overall objective is to protect human, animal and plant health as well as to improve the competitiveness of Macedonian agro-food products on the European and world markets.

The specific purpose of this contract is to strengthen the existing systems of competent institutions and increase the public awareness in order to improve the animal health, public health and plant health status in the country.

Position: Key expert 1/ Team Leader: Senior expert on food safety (min. 350 + 100 days)

Senior expert on food safety will be responsible for preparation and implementation of the activities related to veterinary and food safety issues defined in the project

Qualification and skills

• A University Degree in veterinary science or food safety (a Master degree would be considered as an advantage) or an equivalent of 5 years’ experience above the required general professional experience.;

General professional experience

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the area of food safety control;

Specific professional experience

• Experience in a managing position/team leader in at least 2 EU funded projects;
• Experience in the area of EU food safety and veterinary policy in the EU accession countries in at least 2 projects;

Key expert 1 will be given additional 100 days to act as a Team leader.
