Project description: The overall objective of the project is to increase the effectiveness of the Beneficiary country’s preparation for EU accession in area of nature protection. The purpose of this contract is to assist the Beneficiary country to carry out the preparation of establishment of Natura 2000 network.

Key expert 3: IT Expert (120 working days)

Key expert 3 will be responsible for the implementation of tasks related to Result 3. KE 3 will assure close coordination with other Key and Non key experts working on desk top analysis and field work.

Qualification and skills

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (awarded on completion of 3 (three) years of study in university or equivalent institution) in Computer science or engineering, information and communication technologies or other relevant technical science;

General professional experience

• Minimum 15 years, preferably 8 (eight) years of relevant professional experience in user-oriented IT sector;

Specific professional experience

• Experience in at least 2 (two), preferably 3 (three) projects related to the development of database management and/or design/development of web based management information systems, preferably of technical solutions for GIS habitats/species mapping in the context of establishing a Natura 2000 information system;
• Experience in GIS database systems, development of mobile phone/tablet application for biodiversity data inventory process, GIS modelling, remote sensing and satellite image classification will be considered a value-added.
